Built in 1981, Columbia Square was one of Melvin “Pete” Mark, Jr.’s favorite projects. The 15-story, 305,992 square-foot building was built near the waterfront to showcase beautiful views of the Willamette River, Mount Hood, and Mount St. Helens. It was also the first building in the nation to receive Green Globes’ Four Green Globes certification.

Recently, Columbia Square underwent renovations to its restaurant space, lobby, and elevators. The 6,000 SF restaurant area features a spacious atrium with newly-fitted glass panes and the lobby now features wood and brass accents, a new ceiling and floor, and updated lighting fixtures. The building has been home to Melvin Mark’s headquarters since its completion and is now home to a variety of other tenants including the City of Portland Revenue Division, Blyss Chiropractic, Avanti, Ticor Title, Smith Freed Eberhard, and more.
