Melvin Mark Brokerage Company has a long relationship with Perkins & Co. In 2013, the company first reached out to MMBC to help evaluate their short-term and long-term objectives. Specifically, they wanted to consolidate and expand work groups and create a successful work environment for the future. The challenge: to accomplish this at PacWest building, their current home, would mean a major remodel and disruption to the firm during construction.

Because timing was critical, MMBC quickly engaged the landlord in negotiations while also researching alternative properties. A “stay vs. move” comparison was prepared that included a best-case scenario market deal for alternative locations. Based on our analysis, the firm chose to stay at PacWest and we negotiated an expansion and lease extension for 34,000 square feet.

In 2024, Perkins & Co. reached back out to MMBC to downsize their footprint. The company wanted to stay in the Downtown core, so our team evaluated a variety of buildings that could offer the right layout and the right amenities. With extensive knowledge of the market and successful negotiating, we were able to deliver a multiple-floor space at First & Main that included a turnkey tenant improvement package.
